Custom Pergolas and Patio Covers Saint Augustine Beach, Florida
The sun giveth and the sun taketh away. Living in St. Augustine Beach, Florida, you know this all too well. Beach walks at sunrise are amazing. But baking on a long 14-hour day in May can be sweaty, uncomfortable, and damaging to your skin. We’re revolutionizing the patio cover industry with modern, stylish, and powerfully designed structures that stand up to Mama Nature. Our patio covers, patio roofs, pergolas, gazebos, screen rooms, and sunrooms will help you enjoy your backyard. We love the sun but realized shade is pretty sweet too. We know you’ll agree come July and its 90-degree average temps.
The St. Augustine Beach Dream Patio
Your beach town is known for beautiful views, an envious 7.3 Comfort Index, and epic April weather. Smart cafe owners figured out the solution a while back with patio covers that made outdoor dining comfortable even on sticky July days. But what about your dining options at home? Don’t you deserve to eat outdoors or lounge on your deck without the sun frying you like an egg? We think so at Renaissance Patio…
We design and manufacture the strongest and most beautiful line of:
Designer Patio Covers are engineered to withstand the worst weather in multiple styles to suit any home or style.
Patio Roofing made from the best materials with a lifetime materials warranty for enjoyment and less worry.
Screen rooms that provide extra protection and can be added to any of the patio covers or roofs,
Pergolas made of quality materials for durability and freedom from maintenance.
Sunrooms to expand your home and boost your comfort with extra space to meet all your needs.
And thanks to our network of independent installers, you can have any one of our products installed at the click of a mouse!
Folks across the nation are jealous of St. Johns County – beach life, laid back, family-friendly, and tempting temps most of the year. It’s down-right dangerous living in New York with crime, snow, and insane drivers. Or any of those northern states where Jack Frost is a resident. None of those worries for you in St. Augustine Beach. Still, you do want to guard against too much sun that generates wrinkles and can lead to worse skin problems. But on a daily basis, the main battle is staying cool. And swatting…
This is why all of our patio covers and pergolas are crafted from scratch and engineered to be resilient and strong. Our ordering and installation process involves the streamlined use of comprehensive kits in order to provide you with an incredibly fast and cost-efficient installation!
When you choose a designer patio cover from Renaissance, you’re getting:
Water Water Everywhere
The Atlantic Ocean. The St. Johns River. Water is all around your beach town. Of course, that’s why all the tourists show up in weird shirts and flip-flops. But all that water mixed with humidity that could choke a jungle, lures in flies, gnats, and mosquitoes as a “bonus.” Sure, you could shrink wrap your back porch or buy 500 Venus flytraps. The sharper investment is a Renaissance patio cover, pergola, along with our screened walls. You’d kill two hundred winged pests with one stone-cold gorgeous sunroom.
Patio Cover Versus Wind
The wind loves the Atlantic Coast. And you get 8 stiff wind months in St. Augustine Beach. The average patio cover from home improvement stores would shrink at the thought of that barrage of wind. Not ours. No other feature was envisioned until we had developed a patio structure that could stand firm against the worst windstorm. What level is that? We blew past Florida standards, making our patio roofing and solariums approved for up to 175-mph winds. The building wind code in St. Augustine Beach is just 121 mph.
Folks in states with no humidity don’t even know what “muggy” means. They are fortunate. The laundry sure piles up when you have to change sweaty clothes 3 times a day just because you love being outside. Those other states are covered with a cooler climate, which they pay for in winter though. No problem now that Renaissance has you covered with insulated patio roofing, shaded trellises, and screened enclosures. We manage the muggy so you’re not trapped indoors during the 6.6 muggy months your city endures.
Got To Rest Sometime
Do you ever get tired of paddleboarding, fishing off your picturesque pier, or biking? I know, I know, who could tire of all that fun? Yet, everyone needs to rest up for the next adventure. And lying on the couch in the a/c is fine some days. But outdoor lovers prefer hanging out in their hammocks on the back deck. I do anyway. Just not with the sun beating me to a pulp after a long beach run or 8-hour fishing trip. Our screen rooms and patio roofing systems keep worn-out fun-seekings cool while recharging at home.

Sun and fun. Except for 44-degree January nights, those resources are plentiful in St. Johns County. Nice of you all to share them with random tourists. Don’t worry, they can’t stay forever. But you can, so just be sure to take care of yourself. It is all too easy to expose yourself to tons of sun. As for too much fun – the jury is out on that.
Please don’t think we are anti-sun. Tans are tempting to us also. That’s why some of our patio cover models are translucent, letting healthy sunlight in while defending you against dangerous UV rays. Or if you want partial shade, we have an adaptable pergola option that can allow anywhere from 30 to about 60 percent light in.
We’ll go ahead and say it though – we are 100% anti-mosquito. Defending your family against pinheaded pests pleases us to no end. Not to mention that our Florida rooms and screen rooms can save you money on chemical mosquito treatments that may have harmful health effects.
You keep enjoying the wonderful sun, weather, and activities given by your terrific town. At Renaissance, we’ll keep taking away the elements that bug you and make you uncomfortable on your patio. By the way, our factory-trained professional contractors are ready and willing to install your new patio system. No really… they keep bugging us to do more work in the scenic St. Augustine area.
